What's a Videographer?
A male videographer can be called a cameraman in my instance. They are hired to film or record for clients, networks or producers. Filming and photographing making lighting adjustments, camera movement, framing, talent direction, direction or crew & other elements.
A Director of Photography
A director of photography is a camera person who can have several production tasks. They are commonly nicknamed a DP, D.P. D.O.P. in television or film production, either feature or independent film production. Film being for education, documentary, TV, entertainment or other needs.
I learned video & film production from start to finish in college, applied internships and professionally. My background as a photographer & cinematographer (DP or DOP) using film cameras. Cameras have evolved to video for professional photography. As well video, feature film and TV production. I also learned photography in college as well.

Still Photographer
(Nick Teti) my still photography background professionally began after becoming a freelancer, and the education began by interest before college. I learned more professional photography methods in college, and after in my career. I've be at video, television, photography and media until I retire - TBD but not anytime soon. Decades.
